In 1980, Gordon Beede, after working for other paving and site contractors since the early 1960’s, began to see the attitudes of businesses become less and less about quality workmanship and focus more and more on profits. Gordon wanted to offer and maintain a higher level of quality and commitment. In time, he was able to buy, piece by piece, the equipment he needed to do the job…And so came the evolution of Beede Paving and Excavating.

His son, Phillip Beede, wanted to expand his dad’s values and quality. In 2001, Blacktop by Beede Paving was formed. With this reorganization and expansion, we are now capable of handling a greater work load while still maintaining first rate quality.

Blacktop by Beede Paving and Excavating is now working with companies throughout New England and national chain stores. We also have a branch in Central Florida working with many elite companies like Daytona International Speedway, Universal Studios, NASA and Daytona International Airport.

The moral decay of a lot of businesses is still getting worse. Therefore, it is harder and harder to compete financially with some competition. While we can’t guarantee that we will always be the cheapest, what we can guarantee is a quality job.
